Privacy Policy

What we collect

Fantasy Squawk("we", "us") collects what the service needs to work: your mobile phone number and sign-up consent record; your alert preferences and sensitivity setting; the players you ask us to watch and draft dates you tell us; the text messages you send us and the messages we send you; short notes our AI keeps about your leagues (things like league size, scoring format, and draft slot) so it can remember your situation between conversations; and your approximate timezone, inferred from your area code or set when you tell us. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details, only your subscription status.

Lineup builder files

Salary and projection files are processed in your browser tab. We do not upload those files, your salary amounts, point inputs or constructed lineups. If you choose to load market estimates, player names, positions, teams and scheduled game details are sent to our server to match existing market snapshots. The estimate lookup does not save those inputs to our database or send them to a data provider. Closing or reloading the tab clears the builder’s imported data and lineups.

How we use it

We use this data to deliver and personalize your alerts, answer your texts with relevant context, time messages appropriately for your timezone, remind you before your drafts, handle billing and support, keep the service reliable, and prevent abuse. We do not sell your messages or share your mobile number or SMS consent for advertising.

AI processing

Alerts and chat replies are generated with AI. Your messages and relevant account context are processed by our AI provider (OpenAI) to produce responses. Under the API terms we use, that data is not used to train their models. Public web content we monitor (like fantasy football communities) is processed the same way to produce alerts.

SMS consent is never shared

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services necessary to deliver messages (e.g., Twilio).

Affiliate referrals

If you follow an approved affiliate link, we use a first-party cookie lasting up to 30 days to remember that referral. When you create a new customer account, we associate the referral with your account to calculate commissions on eligible paid subscriptions. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals for this referral tracking. Affiliates see aggregate counts and earnings, never customer phone numbers, SMS consent, or message contents.

Affiliate applicants provide a phone number for one-time sign-in codes, contact and payout email addresses, and information about their audience. Applying does not create a customer subscription or enroll you in alerts. We use these details to review applications, secure affiliate accounts, and administer payouts. Minimal invoice, referral-account, and payout records may be retained for financial reconciliation after a customer account is deleted.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or reach us through the contact form. You can also pause alerts any time from the settings page. Stopping texts does not by itself cancel a monthly subscription; see the Terms of Service for cancellation.

Service providers

We use Twilio to send and receive text messages, Stripe to process payments, OpenAI to generate alerts and replies, Neon to host our database, and Vercel to host the website. Each receives only the data required to perform its function.

Analytics

We use Gizmo Analytics (gizmoanalytics.io) for privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics. Gizmo does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses, does not track visitors across sites, and does not collect personal information.

Separately, we use a first-party cookie lasting up to 30 days to measure which public page and broad traffic source led to signup, and keep website experiments consistent. We record steps such as viewing an offer or starting signup. For new accounts, we link this visit to advice use and paid invoices to understand whether the service is useful. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track for visit and signup attribution. Phone numbers, verification codes, questions, rosters and message contents are not included in these website events. Advice-use records contain only an account reference, delivery reference and time; billing records contain invoice totals.

For our Meta advertising, a separate first-party cookie lasts up to 30 days and records the campaign and ad click that brought you here. When you create a new account, we link that visit to signup and paid checkout results to measure advertising costs. When enabled, we send Meta conversion events containing an ad click identifier, a hashed account identifier, browser information, and purchase amount and currency. These events never include your phone number, SMS consent, verification codes, or message contents. We skip this attribution when your browser signals Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track at signup. Account deletion removes these linked advertising records.

Retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your account is active so the service can remember your context. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time by texting DELETE and confirming with DELETE CONFIRM, or by emailing us. We may retain minimal records where required for billing disputes or legal compliance.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it through the contact form. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.

Children

The service is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and reasonably communicate material changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
