Where do the numbers come from?
Salaries come from your imported file for the exact slate. A combined salary CSV can also include a Projection column. Separate projections need Name, Team, Projection or Name, ID, Projection. Historical averages are not forecasts. Showdown files need both CPT and FLEX salary rows and base FLEX projections. Files and lineups stay in this browser tab. Loading market estimates sends player names, positions, teams and game details to our server to match our existing Odds API snapshots; salaries and your projections are not sent. Reimport salaries and reload estimates to refresh.

What goes into a lineup?
The builder maximizes the sum of your projected DraftKings points within a $50,000 budget, using only players in the imported slate who have a projection. Locks and exclusions apply to every result. Highest projected points does not mean highest chance of winning a tournament; ownership, correlation and outcome simulations are not modeled.
Classic uses one QB, two RBs, three WRs, one TE, one RB/WR/TE FLEX and one defense, across at least two games. Showdown uses one Captain and five FLEX players from a single game, with both teams represented. Captain salary and projected points are multiplied by 1.5. This tool supports full-game NFL contests before kickoff; late swap and partial-game contests are not supported.
Import a fresh salary file for the exact contest slate and use projections you have permission to use. Imported projections should include DraftKings bonuses and defense or kicker scoring. Showdown points should be ordinary FLEX points; we apply the Captain multiplier. Historical average points are never substituted for a projection. Files and lineups stay in your browser tab. Loading market estimates sends player names, positions, teams and scheduled games to our server for matching; salaries and your point inputs stay local. Imported data does not refresh automatically, and injury status is not verified here.
Optional market bases are calculated from our existing Odds API snapshots. They use DraftKings base scoring, including one point per reception and minus one per interception, but omit yardage bonuses, fumbles, two-point conversions, returns and secondary stats without markets. Defense and kicker estimates are unavailable. Missing core markets produce no estimate. These are partial scores that you can review and adjust, not complete projections or guaranteed outcomes.
Market estimate calculation and freshness
For two-sided props we normalize the implied probabilities, then adjust the line by (over probability − 0.5) times a heuristic scale: 40 passing yards, 20 rushing or receiving yards, 2 receptions, or 1 passing TD or interception. Anytime TD uses −ln(1 − probability); a Yes-only market assumes a 6% margin. Estimates average the resulting stat values across available books. These assumptions are not a calibrated outcome model. Snapshots are collected about every six hours; the displayed collection time is the oldest input used, not the bookmaker’s quote time. Inputs older than eight hours or at kickoff are unavailable. Reloading checks the stored snapshot and does not trigger a provider refresh.
The search considers the eligible player pool without trimming it to a fixed number of favorites. If it finishes, the results are the top projected combinations under your inputs. If it reaches its time limit, results are labeled “Best found” because a better combination may exist.
Build around your own player choices and independently review each roster spot before exporting. DraftKings’ community guidelines allow lineup tools that incorporate your own skill and prohibit pre-built lineups that bypass substantive independent decisions.
